my yoga journey

After dabbling in yoga for years, I began a regular practice in late 2016 as a salve for some low back tension brought on by a stressful new job. Slowly, my practice rippled into every facet of my life, smoothing out the rough edges I’d sharpened with negative self-talk and the invisible cages of modern society. After dabbling in yoga for years, I began a regular practice in late 2016. The studio became my sanctuary and I fell in love with the way I felt every time I rolled up my mat at the end of class.

In 2019, I received my 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher certification from the Maine Yoga School at that same studio - The Breathing Room in South Portland, Maine. In July 2022 I completed my Restorative Teacher Training at the Portland Yoga Project.

I try my absolute best to be in tune with the ideals that are represented in the yogic tradition. My teaching honors the legacy of the incredible wisdom of yoga that has been shared for centuries. I can’t wait to share my unique perspective on this tradition with you.

Alex lives in Maine where she was born and raised.
